Come Home to Clean
The Post-Construction Clean gets your home ready to move into after a long renovation. After all sub-contractor work has been finished, equipment removed and the rough clean completed of construction materials, debris and trash, Mrs. Clean Pittsburgh will prepare your home or area for occupancy.
Construction dust is very fine and easily circulates indoors throughout the home even when the renovation areas are carefully sealed off from other areas of the home. Once surfaces are touched, construction dust will release into the air and resettle on surfaces. Active construction will generate additional dust indoors and it is recommended that post-construction cleaning occur after construction is completed. Post-Construction Cleaning is detailed work, time consuming and requires 2 or 3 passes in cleaning all surfaces within the construction area and throughout the home. Once the cleaning company leaves, it is expected that additional construction dust will settle on cleaned surfaces requiring a touch up clean at a later date.
The Post-Construction Cleaning consists of, but is not limited to:
Kitchen Cleaning
- Cabinets/Drawers front and inside cleaned
- Countertops and shelves wiped
- Sinks and backsplash washed
- Exterior of appliances cleaned (stovetop, oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher)
- Inside and outside of Microwave cleaned
- All surfaces dusted and/or wiped
- Windows inside only cleaned; paint residue will be removed by painting company
- Windowsills cleaned
- Baseboards dusted and/or wiped
- Doorknob, doorframes, doors, light switches wiped
- Trash removed
- Floor vacuumed and washed
- Walls and ceilings dusted
Bathroom Cleaning
- Sink cleaned and sanitized
- Bathtub, shower walls, glass doors cleaned and sanitized
- Toilet inside and out cleaned and sanitized
- Mirrors/Glass cleaned
- Cabinets/Drawers front and inside cleaned
- Countertops and shelves dusted and/or wiped
- All surfaces dusted and/or wiped
- Windows inside only cleaned; paint residue will be removed by painting company
- Windowsills cleaned
- Baseboards wiped
- Doorknobs, doorframes, doors, light switches wiped
- Trash removed
- Floor vacuumed and washed
- Walls and ceilings dusted
Bedrooms
- All surfaces dusted
- Closets front and inside cleaned
- Carpeted floors vacuumed
- Hard surface floors vacuumed and mopped
- Mirrors/Glass cleaned
- Windows inside only cleaned; paint residue will be removed by painting company
- Windowsills cleaned
- Baseboards dusted and/or wiped
- Doorknobs, doorframes, doors, light switches cleaned
- Trash removed
- Walls and ceilings dusted
Other Living Areas
- All surfaces dusted and/or wiped
- Closets fronts and inside cleaned
- Carpeted floors vacuumed
- Hard surface floors vacuumed and mopped
- Mirrors/Glass cleaned
- Windowsills cleaned (indoor)
- Baseboards dusted and/or wiped
- Doorknob, doorframes, doors, light switches cleaned
- Trash removed
- Walls and ceilings dusted
Touch Up Clean
Once the Post-Construction Cleaning has been completed, we will return to ready your home and touch up the areas we cleaned. We will perform a lighter cleaning of the areas previously visited with a full dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and trash removal. This Touch-up process will allow for the homeowner to move-in knowing they are free and ready to enjoy the home.

CONSTRUCTION DUST IS DIFFICULT TO CONTAIN AND WILL CONTINUE CIRCULATING IN THE AIR AFTER THE POST-CONSTRUCTION CLEANING HAS BEEN COMPLETED. IT IS EXPECTED THAT CONSTRUCTION DUST WILL SETTLE ON SURFACES AND MAY REQUIRE ANOTHER SCHEDULED CLEANING SERVICE. MRS. CLEAN PITTSBURGH WILL PROVIDE A TOUCH UP CLEANING SERVICE AT THE APPLICABLE CLEANING SERVICE RATE.
